Half of a Yellow Sun

“The real tragedy of our postcolonial world is not that the majority of people had no say in whether or not they wanted this new world; rather, it is that the majority have not been given the tools to negotiate this new world.” - Chamamanda Ngozi Adichie

The Good Life

The good life doesn't mean we get everything we want. The good life means believing in God even when we don't get what we want

Mere Christianity

“Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.”

Rise

What we do with our lives, whether at school, a desk job, or keeping the home in order, is our most basic opportunity to glorify God. That's what your role in his story looks like day in and day out.

Jesus > Religion

As Christians we should be setting the bar for good art and culture, not trying to sequester ourselves away and only copying other art in order to make it “Christian”. After all we have the creator as our Dad, and if we suck at creating then we're sinning (Pg. 161).
