Tell us about yourself

Hiya! The name's Dani & my identity is solely wrapped up in everything God says I am through Christ! I am a daughter of the most high. A servant & a lover. I love my Savior, His people, traveling, writing, teaching, laughing, shopping (bargain shopping to be exact), swimming & eating.

What program did you participate in?

Around this time last year, I attended Discipleship Training School with the organization, Youth With A Mission. I spent an incredible, unforgettable 5 months overseas, on a journey to know God more & make Him known. The program consisted of two parts: lecture phase & outreach phase. Lecture phase took place in South Africa for 2.5 months & outreach was in the Philippines for another 2.5 months. It was such an amazing time where Yahweh revealed so much of His heart & nature to me. I came to know God more as the One who is ever-present rather than distant. Whose heart breaks for the things that break ours. The God who is able to bring restoration to all broken things & heal completely with His matchless love. His presence is universal & He is at work in every nation. He is calling all people groups to turn from idols, tradition, religion & turn to Him. To worship Him, the Creator, instead of the created. He wants us all to come back to our First Love & delight ourselves in Him above all!

What sacrifices did you make for this program?

A sacrifice I made was giving up my job not knowing what the next step would be. I resigned after 2+ years in healthcare to pursue God & find out my purposes in Him. After being in the medical field for so long, I just felt there was more. As sure as God is faithful, He showed me so much about Him & brought to surface some of my passions during DTS. One of which include kids. After being involved w/ youth ministry overseas, God cultivated in me a heart for the next generation. & guess what, a bit after my arrival back in the States, He opened a door for me to work in the school system... with the youth! What you give up for the sake of following Jesus is nothing compared to what's on the other side of obedience.

Were your parents supportive of this decision?

My parents were supportive & apprehensive at the same time! Apprehension from me not having a solid plan after Discipleship Training School. But I reassured them that God got me! Worries aside, they were happy about His leading.

What advice would you give to people who feel called to do something that requires worlds sacrifice?

Seek God in prayer, He wants to be a part of our everyday lives. Consult Him before making decisions & trust His guidance. Peace is an indicator that you are walking in His perfect will for your life.

What makes you original?

What makes me original? Hmm. You are you & I am me. God is too creative, He makes no duplicates. Not even identical twins share the same personalities or fingerprints. In each of us lies a purpose that is specific to you & only you. With that said, I compare myself to no one & embrace who my Father has created me, Danielle Kubi, to be. You can find me in my lane, resting in His love, walking in His freedom, following the lead of His Spirit & proclaiming His Truth. Jesus
