Tell us about yourself
My name is David Azegbe-Otaru but my friends call me kaydee (krayzee Dee) because of my many talents,I'm 24 years old, I'm a student of literature in the University of Benin, a part time realism pencil artist and i live in Lagos, Nigeria. I love and do everything art, taking bout visual arts, music (i don't sing though, i can only write songs), poetry, dance (i try sometimes) and i can act (i guess Lol).
What inspired you to become an artist?
I actually started drawing at age 10, i used to hate art before that age but on my 10th birthday, a friend just whined me into drawing something and it had me like 'wow' that's when i took interest in art and since i like to impress people, i started training myself, trying methods to be the best in this newly found talent. I took it as a career in 2012.
Do you parents support your artistic career?
My parents never really doubted my artistic prowess and creativity though, they were in full support of it but didn't really want it to be a full time job for me. I've always wanted to be an on-air personality or DJ or some sort but they finally allowed me to follow my dreams and still gave me their full support.
What are your future goals as an artist?
My future dreams for my art career is to go global and be recognized because these burning ideas in my head might just get burnt Lol.. The plan is to take this art to another level that'll shake the art world.. There's more to come from this young artist.
Could you give some advise to young artists?
My advice to every young amateur artists is keep practicing and exercising more patience, art is fun, trust me! Let your emotions pour into your drawing and give it your best shot every time.
What makes you original?
What makes me original? Hmmmm I'd say that insanely sane and creatively creative. Anything inspires me even sounds and little vibrations, My originality is defined by my ability to speak without words and communicate without interactions. All done with Art.
